Over the weekend of 13th and 14th of June I attended yet another great Hackathon. It was the Intel IoT Roadshow Hackathon that is going on around the world. This one was obviously in London. We build the Totally Tubular tube clock that show when the train arrives at your local stop.
This past weekend I attended the Silicon Milkroundabout. It is one of the biggest tech jobfairs here in London. I had a lovely time and have spent 2 days walking around and talking to some great companies. The amount of jobs at the event was incredible. I am quite excited to see what happens now. If I fit into any of the ones that I really liked.
Another crazy hackathon behind me. This time it was the IC Hack organised by DOCsoc from the Imperial College in London.
Me and my team got excited by the gear that was available to us and started playing around with the Oculus Rift. Soon we decided that we need to make something out of it.
The end of January brought something special to London. In the recent weeks and months I have attended a couple of hackathons around London and this was again a weekend that was spent geeking out. But this hackathon was really something. Why? Well because Dropbox opened up an office in London and decided to make their first hackathon. I applied as soon as I saw the news and happily got accepted.
Christmas IoT hackathon sounded like something really fun and even though I am not a programmer I decided to check it out. Thank god I did as this was one fun weekend. It was organised by Resin.io in the great space of FabLabLondon.
So here it is! my Masters degree is finished.
What an amazing experience. To think that little over a year ago I came to London to do my masters. And what a year it was. So many things done and seen and still so much to see and do in the future.
First of all it has been way to long since my last post. But that doesn’t mean I am not alive. Since the last time I:
– survived a year in London and am still here
– finished my MA in Graphic Design at Middlesex University
– created Myrella the first smart umbrella ever
– created my online portfolio page
– worked on a number of projects
I am glad that my presentation of Myrella project brought you to this place. As you already know this is still a work in progress but I can provide you with a little bit of information if you are interested. Follow this link, or click at the top or anywhere else you see Myrella.
Today is a special day! Exactly 6 months ago this time I was flying over Europe on my way to London.
It has been crazy 6 months let me tell you. I am still alive and studying graphic design here at Middlesex University. I live in a perfect flat with 2 great flatmates and my room is really big! I have seen a lot of London but there is still so much to explore the next 6 months will be interesting as well.
